Can we Trust Megan Deal to be a Nixa School Board Trustee?
In an attempt to interview Megan and allow her to speak publicly about her views, she declined and chose to instead to have an email conversation about her views. Are they Marxist or Christian?
I was able to listen to Megan speak about why she wants to be a school board trustee in Nixa on March 4th, at the We The People Meeting. She spoke alongside other school board candidates and she talked about the emotional and mental health needs of the students who are being overlooked by the system. In other words, she claimed she was looking for the marginalized children in schools.
She seems to be obsessed on her narrowly focused project of finding the students during relaxed times at school (like lunch or transitioning from classroom to classroom). She thinks the board should be there speaking to the students during those periods and learning from the overlooked (marginalized) students.
She also spoke about being like Aaron to Moses, trying to lean on her Christian background for her candidacy. She referenced Exodus 17:12-13, when Aaron and Hur lifted Moses’ arms so that God’s power could still work through him. She described the school board trustees as the Aaron to the Superintendent’s Moses.
However, is the job of the trustees to ensure the Superintendent does what he/she wants to do or is it the job of the trustees to hold the Superintendent, along with the other Administrators, accountable? For as many concerning things we are learning about Social Emotional Learning (which is trying to create a state religion), Critical Race Theory, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, we need to make sure our board has the critical thinking skills necessary to reject this programs being injected into our schools and indoctrinating our children with rudimentary Marxism.
Just as bad as these programs are, we need board trustees who can understand complex legal, employment, and financial issues. Our Board Members must be up to a grueling standard so they can tell manage the Superintendent rather than being a rubber stamp for a School Admin that only cares about increasing the size of his/her little fiefdom.
In that line, I’m going to share my email correspondence with Megan Deal and let you as voters decide what to do on April 2nd.
I blacked out the name Megan accused of sending me the below FB post.
Megan shouldn’t accuse random people.
I don’t provide the name of my sources to anyone and Megan did not know who my source was but was trying to guess.
Megan is Referencing this FB post from a previous article about the Nixa School Board Candidates.
Let’s start with her comment, “it makes me sad when people want to know if someone is conservative or progressive before getting to know someone.” In general life, this is a fair comment. I don’t need to know the politics of the person I buy a tire from nor do I need to know their politics to get my haircut.
However, Megan Deal, is a public figure and public speaker. She has put herself out there and voters deserve to know how she will vote on the School Board as a Trustee. A trustee is just a label too. However, denying labels communicate and inform is doublespeak. Labels allow us to discern quickly what we need to know about a person.
As a journalist, I get plenty of labels and few of them are complimentary. 🤣
John Mark Comer is not an orthodox teacher of the faith, but rather a Social Justice Gospel teacher, which is trying to make Christianity better by adding Marxism to it. Here is a verdict on whether he is a false teacher. It is concerning that she defends Comer instead of wondering if Comer is truly teaching God’s word. Will she defend the Superintendent against all odds as long as he says the right words to her about Mental Health, Social Equity, and Neurodivergent?
Community sources made me aware of this website. Most voters believe Elizabeth Dudash-Buskirk is a progressive liberal and supports many things which the community finds unacceptable. For more information on her, refer to the above link to the Nixa School Board Candidates.
However, Megan Deal’s defense about being put on the same list is that she “did not respond to the survey”. But has she demanded the Missouri Equity Action remove her from the website. Why has this website included Megan as one of her own? Is it because she uses the language of Equity?
Here is a link to her Podcast, The Real Deal on Spotify.
They claim her Social Media accounts are why they tagged her as one of theirs. This group’s resource page is Marxists ideology—they highlight Racial Justice, LGBTQia+, Book Bans, and Misinformation/Disinformation. Megan knows she’s there, but has she researched them? Does she agree with them? Megan doesn’t answer those questions, but seems to deflect.
I’m a philosopher at heart. I was a Marxist as a teenager and a young man. Thankfully God looks after fools and children. I had all Marxist ideology burnt out of me when I went to visit a Marxist country. Unfortunately, many Christians embrace Marxists terms like Equity and Justice because they think they are biblical terms. In reviewing her comments and researching what she enjoys to read, I think Megan has adopted these views without recognizing what they are.
I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I was similar to her in her beliefs at one time. Christians should not judge harshly errors in other people that they have had themselves.
So to be fair, I emailed her this information to help her see that her positions should be analyzed and reviewed. When it is time to look at new curriculum and ask the hard questions about DEI, SEL, or CRT, I want Megan to be able to say no to the encroachment of Marxist ideas.
Will she be able to protect our children from the influence of Globalists who want to turn America into a Socialist state with an unthinking and uncritical population? You’ll need to decide that question on April 2nd.
I attempted to give her an opportunity to find other ways to critically think about what she was saying. As a Christian, I want members of my community to have an elevated view of truth and to understand that some people who speak like Christians are false teachers, like Comer.
I presented books, which if she would read, would help her see truth. I think the best lessons come from narrative truth. She rejected this and instead ended the conversation by taking the “moral high ground.”
I turned to James 1:6-8 for answers.
James 1:6-8 NIV
Megan Deal is running for the Nixa School Board to be one of the Trustees. Do you trust Megan to know what is best for the community, the students, and the school?
Below are screenshots of the Missouri Equity Action website. Does Megan stand with these people? Does she agree that schools shouldn’t curate their collection to avoid graphic sexual images and descriptions of children? Does she agree that children shouldn’t be exposed to Cultural Marxism in the form of transgender and anti-Christian literature?

Going to feature your article. I was at that We the People meeting. Megan Deal promoted the Social Emotional Learning agenda at that meeting. It was quite clear. She actually said that both the bullies and the bullied have behavioral issues. It was appalling, especially because she was responding to a recent town hall meeting with the Nixa School Board. A parent there described the bullying her child received simply for being a red head. Another bullied child is disabled.
School violence and discipline issues arise in force when adults lump victims and abusers in the same categories.
Victims are trained to empathize with their abusers. It’s sick and it needs to stop.
Incorrect statement below. Megan never once mentioned bullys and the bullied have behavioral issues at We The People meeting.
Don't twist words or misquote her.
