Conservative Homeschool Mom to Government-Money Addicted Welfare Queen
SB727 regulates how to be a parent to your children, in a fundamental way while offering money turning you into a Welfare Queen. Even if you don't take the money now, your costs will go up.

Matthew 4:8-9
8 Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory [splendor, magnificence, and excellence] of them; 9 and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You fall down and worship me.”
Too many of us have taken the deal with Uncle Sam when he promised nationalism and supermajority Republican legislative bodies in Missouri. Well, he’s offering a new deal through SB727—you will be affected if you take the money or refuse to take the money.
SB727 will entice homeschool families to accept money tainted by regulations to help pay for their materials or perhaps to found a private school. It’s a lot of money to turn down.
The same thing happened with George Bush and his faith-based initiatives. Currently, Joe Biden is trying to do the same by getting churches involved in social justice charities.
Joe Biden links aid to race and sex, putting certain groups ahead of other groups. Do you really think that aid to our Missouri homeschool families isn’t prioritized in the same way? In fact, it is. People with IEPs, disabilities, or poverty move to the front of the line. As conservatives, this is why we don’t let government make decisions about charities. They give IEPs now for violent behaviors. Or 504 plans for kids who have no discipline at home. Don’t let them play on your heartstrings. They will fool you.
And let’s be honest, if DESE is on the board approving these tax credits, don’t you think the money is going to be directed towards private and charter schools in communities based on race [considering how hard DESE is pushing DEI]? They call it “best practices” on their website.
In the 1970s, schools were fighting to get student loans to help poor students go to school. Generations of people are now indentured servants to the Government through massive debt before they are even 22. The poorer you are, the worse it is. You’re promised nothing else will provide you a way out of poverty but a college degree, but when everyone has a college degree, they are almost worthless. Student Loans created a glut of diplomas with no value–the economy needed other things besides a $50,000 piece of paper.
Lyndon B. Johnson brought in the Welfare State through his Great Society. It created the slums and crimes–he segregated minorities into ghettos and kept them there.
Are you tempted to take the riches that the Government offers you? When did you need their permission? The Government can’t give you permission to teach your children, and it can’t regulate that behavior as much as it wants to. You have far more freedom than you realize–unless you surrender it. Willful defiance is our right.
Do you think the curriculum costs will remain low, or will they increase now that more money will be made–like the pressures on Colleges and Universities?
Government money doesn’t increase supply; instead, it increases the costs of the item because it guarantees the contractor a particular percentage–a growing percentage. Innately, we know this as inflation. As the Government promises to buy something like cheese, ethanol, or green energy, have our costs dropped in these areas?
Do you think our costs will drop in charter schools now there is more money for them? They don’t need to charge less. More money will give the Private and Charter schools [along with the curriculum writers] the freedom to argue for money–to increase the cost of their product. Education is a product that will cost more with more government money.
If there were an equation to help you understand, I would give it to you. Think of it this way. I make the best cookies in the world. After determining their costs, I try selling them for $1 each. The market can handle that cost. However, some people can’t afford it, so a politician creates a program to help the poorest in the community buy a $1 cookie. Everyone who applies to the program is given $1 to buy a cookie once a week. Well, I now can sell the cookie for $2. The poor can buy two cookies a month, and those who aren’t will pay the difference.
Sounds like a great plan. Everyone is happy, and everyone gets a cookie. Yet, apply that to a curriculum that costs $1000 a year per student. As the company, inflation from government money will increase cost and demand for that product, causing it to go from $1000 to $2000 or $3000. You’ll need more and more government money to pay for the same product every year. Every year, you’ll go to the Government asking for more and more money. They must increase the cap from $75M to $100M to cover the increased costs. Why do you think they increased it from $50 to $75? Because it caused a disruption in the system, and their $50M disruption increased costs.
Homeschooling moms will become the new Welfare Queens, pimped out to so-called conservative Representatives and Senators. Every year, they will have to ask for more money and lobby not for more freedom but more money. Virtual schools will have the curriculum they need, but government influence will taint the material they provide. These programs will train parents on what is best for their kids. Moms won’t know what is best for their children anymore.

The AFP will create a class of people so dependent on the money to educate their children that they will vote against their own good to keep this money. It’s putting you on the plantations like Lyndon B. Johnson did to the African-American community, except you at least keep your “suburban” lifestyle with your SUV and home. They will lock your vote in for Republicans no matter what. If DESE needs to grow so that the cap can grow, you will vote for them. They are asking you for your soul as a voter. They are using your children as hostages against you.
I know it feels like you’re in the desert all alone right now, and it’s hard, and you have nothing to hold onto. But don’t do this. Don’t side with this bill. Don’t let them take away your conservative values and turn you into a big government statist.
Private schools will act as gatekeepers for a lot of the money. Parents will be forced to deal with other institutions now to get the best education, and those private schools will start to take the government money and look more like government schools. The Government doesn’t want a competitor. They want everything to be the same–equity means bland, broken, and brutal.
Who wins? The money managers behind Americans for Prosperity are the winners. Every donation allows them to skim 10% of the $250,000 block for Administration and Marketing costs. They won’t even have to ask the AFP to do their work. The Homeschool Moms will pimp for them now.
Allowing the Government to regulate homeschools at all will destroy them, increase costs, dilute them, and turn them from centers of freedom into centers of grassroots tyranny. Is SB727 worth being a Welfare Queen?
Call Governor Parson. Tell him to veto this bill. Don’t let the Government become your pimp.
The whole thing is shocking. It falls right in with a centralization of all education under government diktat. Even those who do not sign up will be eventually sucked in.
Many private schools take government money…and look much more like public schools now. They took the funds and the strings, which began the process of morphing them into government school clones.
Thanks for being clear-eyed.
