Thank You's to the Library Board
I Sunshined the community's emails to the Library Board. They sent me one negative Email (which I have shared), but the rest were positive. I also shared how one librarian is undermining the Board.

Thank you for all you are doing to improve the Christian County library so our children are safe from lewd and pornographic materials. I understand people have the freedom to access this material, but I am concerned that children exposed to them before they have the intellect to rightly discern these materials are at risk for long term negative consequences.
Please continue to make the healthy development of our children the primary goal of our libraary.
Thank you,

Time
Due to work demands, I am unable to attend library board meetings but I do my best to stay informed online. I am so thankful for those of you on the front lines and pray for your wisdom and perseverance. I think the book labeling proposal for LBGT..... books is a common sense measure and should be employed immediately. I am willing to volunteer to help with the process if needed when I'm available.

Trustees,
I have been a resident of Christian County for nearly five years and a resident of Missouri for nearly eleven years. I have raised three children to be responsible adults and am still raising two young ones that have not yet entered their teenage years.
Through the years, I have always taken time to bring my kids to the library. We have participated in some of the summer reading programs and usually have checkouts of books and dvds in our home.
Book choice is very important to us. Certainly, we would appreciate and benefit from having content labels on books to make our choices easier.
Because I understand this to be one of the topics in discussion currently at board meetings, I am writing to express my support for the action.
Thank you,
a library patron

Christian County Library Board Trustees, As I was doing research, I came across a Reddit account for Brandon Jason where he is encouraging members of the community to collude with him to work against the appointed members of the Library Board and against Community members. I have Screenshots which speak for themselves in his words. I plan to publish these screenshots in the near future and wanted your statement about if this was part of Brandon Jason's job description or not. In the first photo, not part of the Reddit, Brandon is viewing my LinkedIn page along with the Library's lawyer, Harry Styron. Is this part of your lawyer's job description also to work in collusion with Brandon to view a journalist's LinkedIn pages? Is it common practice for the CCL library to encourage their executive staff or lawyers to suppress or attempt to intimidate the free speech rights of journalists and community members? Thank you for your time and willingness to answer my questions. As I know you speak to the News-Leader openly, I am sure you will speak to other publications just as freely as it doesn't seem to be against your guidebook, Ms. Tuckness or Ms. Hagen. Sincerely, David Rice Editor-in-Chief Hick Christian News

Good afternoon,

My name is Redacted Community Member, and I'm a user of the Ozark branch of the library. I have been unable to attend recent board meetings, but I wanted to drop a note to express my gratitude for the board's consideration of labeling books to quickly assess their content.
As an area educator who uses the library to supplement the selection available to children in my care, I would greatly benefit from such a system. I try to avoid furnishing material that would raise questions better answered by parents. Different families have different timelines and preferences on when to introduce themes of religion, violence, and even fantasy. It is my goal to not only support children with good reading material, but also to come alongside their parents and not against them.
Though I prefer to preread the books I bring into my program, it's not always feasible to do so. I'm excited about the potential for a labeling system, and grateful for the work you do to serve our community. Thank you for helping me better serve my corner of our community.
